The Armenian State "Altounian" Folk Ensemble of the National Center of Folk Music and Dance perform a grand concert program in honor of the opening of the 87th concert season. 

Founded on March 5, 1938 by conductor Tatul Altunian. The co-founders were composer Alexander Alexandrian and ballet master Edward Manukian. The ensemble was originally called the Folk Song and Dance Ensemble. The ensemble consisted of musicians, singers and dancers representing folk art and was the only one of its kind not only in Armenia, but also in the entire Soviet Union. For 87 years, the ensemble has remained the people's favorite and, due to its merits, has become legendary. at the top.

During the concert evening, the ensemble will present the best gems of folk song, music and dance, which are an integral part of its rich creative treasury.
