Mystery of Forests

Piano Concert by Hayk Melikyan, Honored Artist of Armenia

Renowned pianist Hayk Melikyan will give an exceptional piano concert in the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall dedicated to the creation of a 100 ha Charles Aznavour forest, on the occasion of his centenary celebrated this year. All ticket sales will directly contribute to planting a forest, which will be a lasting tribute to honour his legacy. The forest will be planted in 2025 by My Forest Armenia.

The concert program includes pieces by Georgi Gurdjieff and Leos Janacek, both synonyms of introspective and inspirational music. The concert will feature a new piece, specially created for the occasion by a young composer, Elen Yolchyan, titled “Mysteries of Forest” as well as an original piece composed by Hayk Melikyan himself. The artist will also perform a few improvisations on Aznavour’s music.
